Welcome to HerrinSucks.com. This website was created to give residents of Herrin a place to discuss local issues, share experiences, ask questions, and express opinions about our community. We believe people should be free to speak their minds, but with that freedom comes responsibility.

Freedom of Discussion

We encourage open and honest discussion about local government, businesses, schools, organizations, events, and issues affecting the City of Herrin.

You are welcome to praise, criticize, disagree, debate, and share your own experiences. Healthy discussion is what this community is built on.

HerrinSucks.com is intended to be a place for open discussion, opinions, criticism, and debate. We support the expression of lawful opinions, even when they are unpopular or controversial. However, the following content is not permitted:

• Posting someone's private personal information (doxxing).
• Threats of violence or encouraging illegal activity.
• Harassment, stalking, or targeted bullying.
• Knowingly posting false information intended to damage someone's reputation.
• Spam, scams, or unwanted advertising.
• Impersonating another person or organization.
• Posting copyrighted material you do not have permission to share.
• Anything that violates local, state, or federal law.

Public Officials & Public Records

Discussion of elected officials, government agencies, public employees, and matters of public concern is welcome.

Public records such as meeting minutes, budgets, ordinances, salaries, and other publicly available information may be discussed and linked.

Please keep discussions focused on public actions, policies, decisions, and facts—not personal attacks or private lives.

Respect Other Members

You do not have to agree with another member.

Debate ideas. Challenge opinions. Present facts. Just don't make discussions personal.

Moderation

Administrators reserve the right to edit, lock, move, or remove content that violates these guidelines.

Repeated or serious violations may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your account.
